Military-Affiliated Children

Military-Affiliated Children

Mountain Youth Academy is honored to serve children of military families who have a history of PTSD or trauma who may also be dealing with mental health concerns including sudden loss, issues related to deployment and other military family challenges.

Our care integrates an understanding of the impact and consequences of trauma into our treatment methods. We provide an individualized, multidisciplinary, Cognitive Behavioral model that can help nurture the development of pro-social behaviors.

Youth are assigned to treatment teams and groups that are best suited to meet their individual treatment needs. Each group’s daily activities are designed to assess emotional and behavioral difficulties, assist with safely exploring alternative behaviors and reinforce socially desirable behaviors.

Mountain Youth Academy is proud to be a TRICARE® certified facility.
